Liberty Village Premium Outlets opened in 1981 in Flemington, New Jersey, and grew into a thriving luxury outlet destination carrying more than 40 designer stores, including Brooks Brothers, at its peak. The center worked in tandem with Flemington’s historic Main Street, with visitors often staying a full day or weekend to shop the outlets and eat and drink downtown.
Simon Property Group, which had branded the property “A Simon Center,” sold Liberty Village to a developer in 2019 after years of rising vacancy and physical deterioration through the mid-2010s. By September 2025 all of the outlet buildings had been demolished. The borough’s redevelopment plan calls for 123 townhomes in 21 three-story buildings on the site.
