Grand Var is the main regional shopping centre for the Toulon metropolitan area, located in La Valette-du-Var, approximately 8 kilometres northeast of Toulon city centre. Printemps operates a full department store within the centre, the most prominent anchor in the scheme and one of only a small number of Printemps locations operating in a regional shopping centre rather than a city-centre high street. Carrefour anchors the grocery component.
The fashion mix covers both accessible and contemporary premium segments. ba&sh, Claudie Pierlot, BOSS, Zadig & Voltaire and American Vintage serve the contemporary and accessible-luxury brackets through both freestanding units and concessions within Printemps. Mango, H&M, Levi’s, Promod and Caroll cover the mid-market. Citadium holds a sportswear and streetwear position. Nocibé and Sephora cover beauty alongside Kiko Milano. Pandora and Swarovski cover jewellery. Paul and Kusmi Tea serve food and beverage. Nature & Découvertes holds an accessories and lifestyle position.
Access is by car from the A57, which connects the centre to Toulon and the eastern Var. Public transport links the site to central Toulon. La Valette-du-Var is within the Toulon Provence Méditerranée metropolitan area, and the centre draws from a catchment that extends east toward Hyères and west toward Bandol.
The Printemps department store gives Grand Var a stronger quality-retail profile than most standard regional schemes in the Toulon catchment. Printemps’s presence — including its in-store concessions for Claudie Pierlot, Fursac and BOSS — gives the centre access to a brand range that would otherwise require a trip to Marseille or Nice for the eastern Var population.
