Factory 52 is a mixed-use district on the 20.6-acre former United States Playing Card Company campus at 4590 Beech Street in Norwood, Ohio, northeast of downtown Cincinnati. The card maker moved its factory to Norwood in 1900 and operated there for more than a century. PLK Communities, the developer and operator behind Factory 52, has converted the preserved factory buildings, including the restored clock tower, into a campus of apartments, restaurants, recreation and offices, with public financing from the Port of Greater Cincinnati Development Authority.
The retail core is The Gatherall, a food hall that opened in summer 2023 inside the complex’s former employee cafeteria. It groups independent Cincinnati operators around a central bar, According to Hoyle. Vendors listed in September 2026 include Lucius Q, Decibel Chicken, Gabriela Filipina Kantina, Shango Tacos, Phat Banh Mi, Trophy Pizza, Molly’s Cupcakes and Herbistro, which opened in April 2026. Fretboard Brewing operates inside The Gatherall, while Braxton Brewing runs a separate taproom and rooftop bar elsewhere on the campus. Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams also has a shop on site.
The Pickle Lodge took over operations of the former ACES pickleball venue on June 1, 2026, and My Masterpiece Studio, Dream Salon & Spa and JS Jewelers occupy smaller storefronts. The residential phases already account for more than 400 apartments, with additional townhomes now part of the campus. The commercial programme is concentrated in food, drink, recreation and services, set among apartments, offices and public gathering space, rather than the retail roster of a conventional shopping centre.
