The largest mall in southeastern Ontario, Cataraqui Town Centre has with over 141 stores. It is anchored by: The Bay, Target and Sears. Cataraqui Town Centre is easy to get to as it is a major transfer point for Kingston Transit.
Opened in 1982 the two-level Cataraqui Town Centre had a Simpsons and Zellers department stores and a Loblaws supermarket. In 1999, Sears relocated from the Kingston Centre to a new store at Cataraqui Town Centre. This anchored a new addition. Renovations to the mall’s interior added escalators and food a court. The former Loblaws’ space now houses a newly expanded food court, Shoppers Drug Mart, and a Sport Chek store.
Cataraqui Town Centre stores include: Aéropostale, Mrs. Fields, Boathouse, Sterling Shoes, Teaopia, Ricki’s, Eclipse, Jimmy the Greek, Dynamite, Costa Blanca, Koodoo Mobile and Freshly Squeezed. The Body Shop, and Jean Machine renovated their storefronts and are now open for business.
In 2010, Cataraqui Town Centre added Danier Leather, Showcase, Rayna and Nevada Bob’s Golf in SportChek as well as Bath and Body Works—the first in the area.
