Carrefour de l’Estrie opened in 1973 with a major expansion in 1985. The new ten-million-dollar wing was anchored by a two-storey Zellers outlet. There were also sixty new shops and a food court. Superstores like Eaton’s, Pascal, Sears, and Steinberg as well as 100 trendy shops presently serve the residents of the area and travelers to Quebec. In 2013, an expansion added a new Target store and a fully renovated food court.
