Oniverse, the parent company behind Italian fashion brands Intimissimi and Calzedonia, is growing its presence in North America with the launch of its first stores in Puerto Rico. The new outlets, located at The Mall of San Juan, mark the official debut of both brands in the Puerto Rican market.
Expanding into a promising market
The Puerto Rican expansion follows the brands’ successful performance in Florida, with Oniverse noting that The Mall of San Juan aligns with their target audience. The new stores will offer the full range of Intimissimi’s silk pajamas and lingerie, alongside Calzedonia’s tights and swimwear, providing a familiar retail experience akin to their U.S. counterparts.
Emphasizing in-store experiences
Oniverse’s decision to focus on physical retail stores underscores its belief in offering customers an intimate, in-person shopping experience. The company views product exploration as a key element of its retail strategy, allowing consumers to fully appreciate the Italian craftsmanship and affordability that define the collections.
Looking ahead to further expansion
By the end of 2026, Oniverse plans to open 15 more stores for both brands across North America, targeting states such as California, Texas, Florida, New York, and Illinois. The company also intends to explore opportunities in other major cities, continuing to focus on prime retail locations including shopping malls, high-end streets, and lifestyle centers.
