The mall is scheduled to open about 350 stores and many unique entertainment operators.
The Mall of Oman, one of the largest shopping malls in the sultanate, was officially opened in Muscat. The state-of-the-art shopping mall will combine shopping galleries with the most sought-after international brands in the market and offer a unique shopping experience.
The Mall of Oman has 1 600 thousand square feet (150 000 sq m). For now, it has a limited number of tenants open. Aldo, Charles, and Keith, Dune London, La Vie en Rose, Birkenstock, Skechers, Dollar Plus, Inglot, and R&B will begin receiving their first customers tomorrow. Adidas, Crocs, Rituals, New Yorker, The Children’s Place, Tim Hortons, LC Waikiki, Rituals, Levis’ and R&B Kids, and other brands will join later.
About 350 stores and many unique entertainment operators are scheduled to open as part of the mall. With the mall’s opening, the Dino World exhibit also began operating, sending visitors 190 million years into the past.
“Tourism and retail are an integral part of Oman’s economy and have the potential to stimulate economic growth and help diversify the country. These goals are in line with Vision 2040, and we are honored to have the opportunity to contribute to this vision as long-term partners and investors,” commented Gait Shokair, general manager of Majid Al Futtaim Shopping Malls.
Mall of Oman will later launch a 14-screen multiplex and complete a unique 150 000 square foot (14,000 sq. m.) indoor snow park. Leisure and entertainment operators will additionally occupy about 38 750 sq foot (3,600 sq. m.) at the mall, the Times of Oman reported.
