Vélizy 2 is a large shopping complex in Vélizy-Villacoublay, France.[1] The complex was first opened in 1972 and has been expanded over the years and has become one of the major business and commercial precincts in Europe. The retail park is located in the town of Vélizy-Villacoublay in Paris and comprises more than 170 shops, services, restaurants and 4 cinema screens. The centre caters for over 60,000 customers a day and over 18 million customers a year, views of the main runway at Villacoublay airbase can be enjoyed from the Auchan car park.

Features mall architecture
With the renovation in 2007 the building has been dismantled to achieve a more urban scale, giving rise to a set of new volumes and façades that combine different materials and treatments. The roofs have been modified, and the original height has been altered, raising them to allow natural light to enter and creating new skylights. The communal areas are enlarged, creating three environments differentiated by colors and lighting. Accesses and walkways have also been rationalized, to create new meeting points for visitors.
