The company’s new flagship store appears to be an unusual seller – pandas, created thanks to augmented reality technology.
The virtual assistant “works” in the store that opened on December 6th in Chengdu, China. His list of tasks includes familiarizing visitors with new products and a tour of the store. The only thing that is required to capture a panda is a mobile device with a camera.
Naturally, there is nothing particularly outstanding in technology; in this case, augmented reality is now actively used in a wide range of human activities. However, the very idea of using virtual consultants is interesting. It seems that many visitors to the new store will only come to “get acquainted” with the panda-seller.
