The second stage of the transformation of New Jersey’s luxury shopping mall will be developed by Holiday, 2017.
Simon announced the second phase of a three-phase project of the transformation of The Shops at Riverside, Northern New Jersey’s luxury shopping mall. Work on the first phase will be finished in summer with the creation of an entertainment and dining district. Offerings will introduce an upscale cinema with a lounge bar by AMC, the updated The Cheesecake Factory, and new restaurants and stores.

The second stage will be developed by Holiday, 2017 and will transform the mall with a cutting edge design that reimagines both the interior and exterior of the estate. Interior enhancements will include beautiful new flooring in the center; a Grand Bohemian crystal chandelier and water feature settled in the court near Louis Vuitton generating an interplay of water and light; and a new ‘sculptural floating stair’ near Omega. New entrance features modern design will provide an enhanced arrival experience for the property’s patrons.
The third stage of the transformation will be a redevelopment of the south mall adjacent to Bloomingdale’s. The current shops will be reconfigured to create a luxury ring with the ‘Grand Court.’
In addition to hosting a unique collection of world-class shops and restaurants, this phase will introduce art that inspires, a VIP lounge to rejuvenate and a concierge to attend to a guest’s every need such as private shopping, package delivery, and coat check.
Arrival at The Shops at Riverside will be more comfortable than ever with the addition of a porte-cochère valet area giving quick and effortless access through a new grand entrance. Drivers who self-park will be able to quickly navigate to the ample parking in the refurbished covered parking with the help of a ‘park assist’ system. Improved wayfinding signs, both inside and outside the shopping center, will make getting to your destination easier.
