The Town of Newburgh is due to soon get a 650000 sq ft outdoor shopping mall, located on a busy road on Route 300.
The new mall, The Loop – Hudson Valley, will give a new feel to Newburgh, according to Allan Ross, the person in charge of marketing for the new center.
He stated the center would include a wide range of retail stores, as well as a movie theater. There will be play areas for the children and there will be different stores on the streets.

The center will be situated between the New York state Thruway and I-84, through which approximately 100000 vehicles pass each day.
The center management is considering the potential of large numbers of visitors due to the proposed Hudson Valley Casino and Resort, which will be placed down the road.
The Town of Newburgh Supervisor, Gil Piaquadio, said that regardless of whether a casino will be granted, the center will boost the economic development of the area.
The mall is due to be opened in mid 2016.
