The retailer from Canada currently has around 200 locations across the world, including in New York State.
Officials from Destiny believe that this particular store will do well as the mall is very popular with Canadian guests. According to them, around 25% of the sales at Destiny are achieved from shoppers coming from north of the border.
Visitors are lured with a number of advertising campaigns in different locations within Canada.
The marketing director of Destiny USA, Sara Wallace, said that the company has high visitation and strong visibility within Ottawa and surrounding areas, but they are placing focus on building brand recognition within Montreal and Toronto.
Mall officials are anticipating an overall busy fall, but they are expecting a big shopping weekend over the Columbus Day Weekend, which is at the same time as Thanksgiving in Canada.
