The Centrepoint

The Centrepoint is a shopping mall in Singapore which opened in 1983 as Centrepoint Shopping Centre (or just Centrepoint) until its renaming in 2006 as The Centrepoint.

The Centrepoint is best known as a multi-faceted shopping destination housing Marks & Spencer department store and other quality retailers in Singapore. It carries internationally renowned brands such as Aldo, Birkenstock, Braun Buffel, Gap, Geox, Mikimoto and Payless ShoeSource as well as specialty shops such as luxury menswear Milan Men’s Boutique, children’s wear Lemmi, maternity line Mothers En Vogue, local delights such as Bengawan Solo and Prima Taste Kitchen and party supplies store PARTY with US.

Description of the location and accessibility 

The Centrepoint is accessible fr om Orchard Road wh ere vehicles can enter the car park through a side road. Somerset MRT Station is located opposite the shopping mall.

Planning

It has six storeys and two basements. Retail and food and beverage outlets are on the first basement to the fifth floor, while on the sixth floor are a car park, offices and an education centre. There are two car parks in the building, one at basement two and another on levels 4–6. The Centrepoint has residential apartments at the back of the building.
