About this mall

Royalmount is a 185,000-sqm mixed-use development at 8000 Avenue Royalmount in the Town of Mount Royal area of central Montreal, opened on 15 August 2024. Developed by Carbonleo as a $7 billion (CAD) project integrating retail, hospitality, residences, and entertainment, it spans 170 boutiques and over 60 restaurants and cafés anchored by a dedicated luxury quarter at the intersection of Autoroute 15 and Autoroute 40. Royalmount is described as the largest concentration of luxury retail flagships in Quebec.

The luxury circuit features Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Saint Laurent, Tiffany and Co., Versace, Jimmy Choo, David Yurman, TAG Heuer, Moncler, Balenciaga, and Rolex. The broader fashion and lifestyle register includes Zara, H and M, Uniqlo, lululemon, Alo Yoga, Canada Goose, Maje, Sandro, Nike, and Sephora. The dining component includes Le Fou Fou, a 35,000-square-foot European-style food hall with 12 culinary concepts, plus approximately 60 standalone dining venues. A Cineplex VIP cinema and Rec Room arcade are among the planned entertainment anchors; an aquarium is set to open in 2026.

The catchment combines the dense Montreal Island residential demographic of approximately 2.1 million city residents and 4.3 million CMA residents with the pan-Quebec luxury consumer catchment drawing from Laval, Longueuil, and the broader Quebec province, and the substantial international tourist flow of approximately 10 million annual visitors to Montreal. A skybridge links Royalmount directly to the De la Savane metro station on the Orange Line. Highway 15 and Highway 40 interchange access provides car connectivity, with parking infrastructure for approximately 7,000 vehicles.

Carbonleo coordinates the development and property management of Royalmount as its flagship asset. The project represents the first large-scale concentration of luxury standalone flagships in Quebec, bringing brands previously only available as concessions at Holt Renfrew Ogilvy downtown to standalone purpose-built boutiques in the western Montreal market.
