About this mall

Palm Jumeirah Mall at the base of Palm Jumeirah opened in 2019 with 158,000 sqm of gross leasable area. Dubai Holding Asset Management operates the property under the Dubai Retail brand following a renaming in September 2025 from Nakheel Mall, when Dubai Holding unified more than 40 mall and lifestyle assets — including Dragon Mart, Ibn Battuta Mall, and The Outlet Village — under a single brand platform following the integration of Nakheel and Meydan into Dubai Holding.

The Palm Jumeirah Monorail connects the mall to Atlantis The Palm at the crown of the island and to the Al Sufouh tram interchange at the trunk. For residents of the frond villas and trunk apartments, the monorail provides car-free access to the mall; for visitors, it connects the mall to Atlantis and the Aquaventure waterpark. The tenant mix includes a Balmain boutique alongside the Inditex cluster, American Eagle Outfitters, Birkenstock, and Boots, calibrated for the Palm’s affluent international residential demographic and the luxury hotel cluster that includes Atlantis The Palm, One&Only The Palm, Anantara, and Jumeirah Zabeel Saray. Vox Cinemas operates a multiplex with private viewing rooms, and Carrefour anchors the grocery and daily-use frequency.

Palm Jumeirah hosts approximately 20,000 residential units at full buildout alongside the hotel cluster, creating a captive premium residential catchment on an island with no alternative enclosed retail. Dubai’s international tourist volumes generate a visitor overlay, particularly at the Atlantis end of the monorail line. The Jumeirah district connection via Palm Jumeirah Road provides the primary car access, with approximately 4,000 underground parking spaces.

Dubai Holding’s September 2025 rebranding was a strategic consolidation, giving the mall a clearer identity tied to the island rather than the Nakheel developer name. The combination of monorail transit integration and a captive island residential catchment gives the property a commercial profile with few equivalents in the Dubai retail market.
