Foothills Mall

Maryville, Tennessee, the seat of Blount County at the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where the proximity to the most-visited national park in the United States and the East Tennessee outdoor recreation economy give the commercial corridor on Morganton Road a tourism and residential dual-market character, gives Foothills Mall a regional mall trade area whose household mix of Blount County residents, Smoky Mountains gateway visitor traffic, and Knoxville metropolitan commuter purchasing culture the property serves at the Foothills Drive intersection. Belk anchors the department store comparison-shopping floor with the Southeast-focused department store format whose regional loyalty in Tennessee and the Carolinas gives it a co-tenancy authority in the Blount County market that the national department store chains do not match at equivalent Southern retail identity. AMC cinema anchors the entertainment and leisure occasion. T.J. Maxx anchors the off-price comparison-shopping floor.

American Eagle, Maurices, Journeys, and Claire’s cover the accessible fashion and accessories floor. Bath and Body Works serves the accessible beauty and home fragrance category. Dollar Tree serves the value and household essentials category. Foothills Bridal Gallery and Foothills Formal Wear give the property local Blount County wedding and special occasion retail identities. Maryville Music Academy, the local music school, gives the property a community arts education identity whose presence inside a regional mall reflects the Maryville small-city commercial culture of locating community services within the mall format. Cancun Mexican Grill serves the Mexican cuisine dining occasion for the East Tennessee Latino household. BJ’s Wholesale Club gives the property a warehouse club and bulk purchasing identity for the Blount County household.
