Abreeza

Abreeza is Ayala Malls’ Davao flagship and the company’s first property in Mindanao, opened on May 19, 2011, along J.P. Laurel Avenue in the Bajada district. The mall is part of the Abreeza mixed-use development that also includes the Seda Abreeza hotel, the Abreeza Place residential towers, and the Abreeza Corporate Center office building. The development represented Ayala Land’s strategic entry into Davao City, the largest urban center in Mindanao and a growing commercial hub for the southern third of the Philippines.

Anchor tenants include Rustan’s Department Store, the Metro Supermarket, Marks & Spencer, Uniqlo, the Ayala Cinemas, and a substantial restaurant and cafe cluster on the upper levels. The mall layout uses an enclosed format with three retail levels and an outdoor plaza connecting to the Seda Abreeza hotel. Specialty tenants include premium fashion brands, a curated dining selection that draws Davao’s upper-middle-class catchment, and a strong cluster of fitness and wellness operators.

Abreeza operates within a Davao retail map that includes SM City Davao, SM Lanang Premier, and the Gaisano malls. The Bajada location places Abreeza in central Davao City, with proximity to corporate offices, government buildings, and the established residential neighborhoods. The mall’s catchment extends across metropolitan Davao and the surrounding Davao del Sur, Davao del Norte, and Davao Oriental provinces. Ayala Malls has continued to develop additional properties in Mindanao since Abreeza, but the Davao flagship remains the principal Ayala destination in the southern third of the Philippines and the entry point for Ayala-aligned international brands testing the Mindanao market.
