About this mall

TriNoma, short for Triangle North of Manila, is Ayala Malls’ principal flagship in northern Quezon City, opened on May 16, 2007, along North Avenue at the corner of EDSA. The mall sits at the geographic junction where Quezon City’s Triangle commercial district begins, immediately adjacent to SM City North EDSA and the MRT-3 North Avenue terminus. The two-mall cluster of TriNoma and SM City North EDSA forms the largest retail concentration in northern Metro Manila, serving the dense Quezon City catchment plus the substantial southbound commuter flow from Bulacan and northern Caloocan.

Anchor tenants include Rustan’s Department Store, Landmark, the largest Power Books in northern Metro Manila, Toys R Us, ACE Hardware, and the Ayala Cinemas with IMAX. The four-level format includes a main retail floor, an upper-level dining destination called the Mindanao Avenue Wing, and an outdoor garden area with restaurants and casual seating. The mall’s design uses extensive natural lighting through skylights and atrium openings, an early Ayala Land example of the energy-efficient design template that has since become standard across newer Ayala properties.

TriNoma is part of the Vertis North master-planned development that Ayala Land has been building progressively since the late 2000s, which includes the Vertis North office towers, the Seda Vertis North hotel, the Solaire North casino-hotel under construction, and the Ayala Malls Vertis North mall that opened in 2017. The combined Vertis North development has transformed the previously underdeveloped North Triangle area into one of Quezon City’s newer business and lifestyle districts.

The North Avenue location places TriNoma at the MRT-3 North Avenue station, the planned Metro Manila Subway, and the future North Triangle Common Station that will connect MRT-3 with LRT-1 and the proposed MRT-7. The mall’s catchment extends across northern Metro Manila and southern Bulacan, an estimated 4.6 million residents within a thirty-minute travel radius. International brands evaluating northern Metro Manila placement consider TriNoma the priority destination ahead of SM City North EDSA’s broader mass-market positioning, given TriNoma’s upper-middle-class catchment and Ayala Center alignment.
