The new collaboration will appear in 460 Louis Vuitton branded stores worldwide from January 6.
French luxury retailer Louis Vuitton is opening a long-awaited pop-up store in Tokyo for its new collaboration with Yayoi Kusama. The retail space will be open until January 22.
The store, centered around a “polka-dot avant-garde,” is located in the Harajuku district. Louis Vuitton offers an introduction to one of the most anticipated collaborations and presents a unique, vibrant interior design. The store features installations and decorations that strike the imagination.
In the center of the store is a realistic sculpture of Cuama herself dressed in a yellow and black polka dot shirt. The interior uses mirror balls, stylized as LV, and mannequins with the brand’s polka-dot pattern on the background of the “Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama” sign.
The assortment of the new pop-up store includes ready-to-wear and accessories, as well as leather goods and perfume classics of the fashion house. The collection is already on sale in Japan and China. The collaboration will also appear in 460 Louis Vuitton branded stores worldwide from January 6.
