French luxury retailer is opening its first airport store in Southern Hemisphere.
French luxury retailer Louis Vuitton is opening its first store at Sydney Airport. The monostore of this format will be the company’s debut not only in Australia, but in the entire Southern Hemisphere.
The concept that was pioneered at the Louis Vuitton Ginza Namiki Dori in Tokyo will form the basis for the new store. Architect Peter Perino worked on the design of the retail space. The interior uses light woods and bright colors, as well as local cultural elements to attract the attention of travelers from all over the world.
The facade of the Louis Vuitton store at Sydney Airport, created by local artist Daniel O’Toole, is decorated with shimmering mélange blades – a design that references Australian sunsets. Two wide storefronts open the entrance to the retail space.
The Louis Vuitton launch is part of a new luxury retail space that opened at Sydney Airport in August 2022. Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Bvlgari, Hermès, Loewe, Moncler, Prada, Rolex and Saint Laurent are also featured in the new 29,000-sq.ft. space.
Inside the store, classic Louis Vuitton furniture and furnishings are used, as well as works created by the hands of local designers and artists. In this way, the French brand establishes a connection with the local community. Tom Feredei sculptures and a table from the Chinese brand Buzao are also installed inside.
The new monostore, marking LV’s entry into a new segment in the Southern Hemisphere, features full collections of men’s and women’s clothing, shoes, accessories, as well as the brand’s watches, jewelry and fragrances.
