Deux mall is one of Paris’s largest shopping and entertainment centers, with an attendance of more than 11 million people a year. The mall’s tenants include Zara, Sephora and Carrefour and the Le 13ème Art theater. The multifunctional facility is located on Place d’Italie in the heart of a densely populated neighborhood.

The purchase of Italie Deux mall was the fourth in Ingka Centres’ portfolio, following the acquisitions of Livat Hammersmith in London and shopping centers in Toronto and San Francisco. At the same time, the Ikea owner continues to develop its new mixed-use projects in India and China.

Cindy Andersen, Ingka Centres’ Managing Director, said: “Paris is famous for its unique vibe that brings people together and inspires great ideas. Italie Deux is one of the premier retail destinations in Paris, known for its mix of shopping, food and culture, and we are excited to continue to develop its offer with an affordable, sustainable range of destination retail, culinary experiences and amenities to help our partners and communities to thrive.”

Once renovated, the new meeting center will include an 18,000-square-foot Apollo office complex, gastronomic outdoor spaces, social spaces and urban farm-to-table areas to supply cafes and restaurants. According to Andersen, the company aims to merge Apollo, Italie Deux and ItaliK into a space where Parisians “can shop, work, play and enjoy everyday life in eco-friendly ways.”

Italie Deux is a shopping mall located in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, France. It opened in 1974 and has undergone several renovations over the years. The mall is home to over 130 shops, including high-end and budget-friendly brands and various restaurants and cafes. Italie Deux is known for its modern architecture and unique design, which includes a large central atrium with natural lighting and greenery.
