American entrepreneur, engineer, and billionaire Elon Musk has promised to publicly eat a Happy Meal set if McDonald’s’s fast-food chain accepts Dogecoin cryptocurrency for payment.
“I will eat a Happy Meal on TV if McDonald’s starts accepting Dogecoin,” Musk wrote on his Twitter page. The original post received more than 26,000 retweets and 170,000 likes from readers.
The message of Elon Musk refers to the ongoing advertising campaign of McDonald’s in the network, which invites investors in cryptocurrencies to work there. This is how the corporation responds to the decline in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The McDonald’s campaign also generated many Internet memes involving world-renowned supporters of cryptocurrencies, including Elon Musk himself.
The Tesla founder and owner has previously stated his particular affinity for Dogecoin. Tesla began accepting payment in the cryptocurrency in late 2021, after which it rose in value by almost a quarter. Musk later called Dogecoin “crypto for the people” and also promised to launch a satellite to the moon paid entirely in this currency.
