Bayshore Shopping Centre is a major retailer of Western Ottawa and eastern Canada.
A one-stop shopping centre with over 165 fashion boutiques, Bayshore Shopping Centre is easily accessible by car and public transit. Specialty shops include: Esprit, Banana Republic, Jack & Jones and Swarovski, that stand alongside well known retailers like Gap, Winners and The Bay. Nearly 7 million people visit Bayshore Shopping Centre annually.
Opened in 1973, Bayshore Shopping Centre consisted of two floors. The mall was anchored by Steinberg, Miracle Mart, The Bay and Eaton's. In the 1980s, the mall underwent extensive renovations. A third storey was added. Elevators and escalators improved shoppers’ access directly from the ground floor to the top level. Another level of parking was added to the exterior parking garage.
In 2003 a new corridor was added including stores like: Mexx, Cleo, Timothy's World Coffee, Place Bonbon, Winners and Swarovski. A further 300, 000 square foot retail construction was started in 2012 .
Food court were relocated. The former Zellers’ store was converted to multiple retail outlets with an H&M and Target Canada. The three-level parking garage was replaced by a five storey garage.
Bayshore Shopping Centre charitable ventures include several Ottawa organizations like the Bash En Blanc Snowsuit Foundation initiative.
