Avalon Mall (St. John's)

Located in historic St. John's, Newfoundland, the largest, most famous shopping centre in Newfoundland & Labrador, Avalon Mall opened its doors in the year of Canada’s centennial.

Simply called “the mall” by Newfoundlanders and Labradorians, Avalon Mall's recognition and selection of retailers has made it "THE" shopping spot in the province.

Avalon Mall offers over 140 stores and services from trendy fashion boutiques, to state-of-the-art cinemas, and the largest food court in the Atlantic provinces. Amenities include family washrooms, nursing rooms, and children's play area.

The mall was renovated in 1977, 1987 and 1999. In the late 1980s and 1990s a major renovation was undertaken to increased retail shoppers. Services and stores include: The Gap and Scotiabank as well a Studio 12 movie theatre. In 2005, the food court, washrooms, entrances and exterior of the mall  got a facelift. Avalon Mall is committed to customer service and has made good efforts toward reducing waste, conserving water and energy, and improving overall procedures.

Avalon Mall is easily accessible from the Airport and by car at the Kenmount Road exit from downtown and the Trans-Canada Highway as well as by Metrobus.
