Levi Strauss & Co.-controlled retailer Beyond Yoga continues strengthening its market position by opening two new physical stores in Los Angeles. A Beyond Yoga store opened in Westfield Century City on April 21, 2023, and an opening in Larchmont Village is planned for May 12.
The Beyond Yoga brand began opening physical mono-brand stores in the fall of 2022, launching its first two outlets in Santa Monica and Irvine. These are 1,100- and 4,000-square-foot outlets with the brand’s full line of products.
The construction of the Beyond Yoga retail chain is part of the brand’s growth program following its takeover by Levi’s in 2021. In its first year under new ownership, the brand generated about $100 million in revenue. The company aims to reach a capitalization of $1 billion.
The Beyond Yoga chain was founded in 2005, the brand is sold in over 1,600 partner stores, including Shopbop, Revolve, Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, REI and Scheels.
“Expanding our presence in DTC with physical stores has allowed the brand to build community and support our partners through events by offering their incredible in-store classes. We look forward to continuing our program of events at our two new stores and are excited to open more stores before the end of the year,” the press office commented.
