Construction of Zsar Outlet Village in South-Eastern Finland is now well underway.
Most of the earthworks have already been completed, and the erection of Finland’s first Outlet village has started. The first buildings of the 12,000 sqm Phase I will be ready for finishing works in May.
The €40 million scheme, located immediately adjacent to the busiest border crossing point between EU and Russia, will open in Q4 this year. Zsar’s key tenants include Armani, Guess, Hugo Boss, Le Creuset, Nike and many other premium brands.
Investors of the project include Finnish individuals and family offices, private investment companies, as well as a Finnish bank Oma Säästöpankki.

Zsar will feature cutting-edge sustainable and cost-efficient energy technology, where heating and cooling will be produced with geothermal energy. Also, the energy system will utilize state-of-the-art heat recovery technology for indoor heating and cooling, which removes the need for installing any additional HVAC systems. Geothermal energy will also be used for warming the footpaths to keep them clear from snow during winters.
Salpausselän Rakentajat, a Finnish construction company, has been chosen as the prime contractor, together with Koja Oy, an HVAC engineering company. The principal architect of the project is Arkkitehtikonttori Petri Pussinen.
