What Verified means

A statement about who stands behind the record

Verified by Malls.com means: the official representative of this entity has confirmed its identity and its official source, on a stated date, for a stated period.

It is not a statement that every figure on the page is correct, and it is not editorial coverage. Malls.com maintains and corrects its database independently under its editorial standards. Purchasing verification does not purchase editorial work, corrections, favourable treatment or any particular finding.

You get

Verified status for 12 months

The mark on your record page with the verification date, your role, the official source and the valid-through date. Shown to every visitor and to the crawlers that read the page.

You get

Dated provenance

A public verification record: entity, official website or store locator, who confirmed it and when. Your official source is named on the record as the entity's own.

You get

An authenticated update channel

Updates you send from the confirmed address are recognised as coming from the entity itself. Editorial still decides what goes on the record.

Editorial standard

What the editorial team does with Verified records

Verified records are the records the editorial team works on first. This is Malls.com editorial policy for its own database. It is not part of the purchase, and no finding is promised.

Record elementEditorial practice for Verified records
QueueVerified records are placed at the front of the editorial verification queue.
Store presencesReconciled against the official store locator or the operator directory. Each difference is recorded in three states: official source, record before, record after.
Core factsAddress, area, hours, anchors, operator and opening or renovation dates checked against the official source. Each fact carries a source URL and a capture date.
Description and photosReviewed against the official source and the Malls.com editorial rules. Official photography submitted through the authenticated channel is considered.
AI answer snapshotAnswers from ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini and Perplexity about the entity are captured in its evidence ledger at each check, with the sources cited. Recorded as observation, never as fact.
Evidence recordThe reconciliation and the AI snapshot are filed in the entity's verification record and available to the confirmed representative on request.
CorrectionsDifferences against the official source are corrected on Malls.com under data policy, because the editorial team found them, not because anything was purchased.
Malls.com maintains and corrects its database independently under its editorial standards. Purchasing verification activates the Verified status; it does not purchase editorial coverage, corrections, favourable treatment, a delivery date or any particular finding.
Eligibility

Who can order

  • The request comes from a work email at the mall, its operator or the brand, and is confirmed by the button in the email.
  • Operator corporate domains that differ from the mall's own domain are accepted after editorial review.
  • Agencies and brokers: with written authorization from the entity.
Not eligible
  • ×Personal or unrelated email domains.
  • ×Entities not yet on Malls.com. Ask editorial to add the record first, at no cost.

Questions

Before you order

Does payment guarantee that my record is correct?

No. It activates the Verified status. Facts on the record are maintained by the editorial team independently and carry their own "Data checked" date where a check has been made.

Will this change what ChatGPT or Google say about us?

Malls.com makes no promise about any search engine or AI assistant. The status and the official source appear on the page they read; what they do with it is theirs.

Can a brand with hundreds of stores be verified?

Yes. Verification applies to the entity, not to a count of locations.

What happens after 12 months?

The mark shows its valid-through date and is removed when it passes. Order again to renew; there is no automatic renewal.

Can I correct our record without paying?

Yes. Anyone can report an error or submit an update at no cost. The Verified mark exists only when the entity itself confirms the record.

Refunds

If eligibility is confirmed and the status cannot be activated for a reason on our side, the payment is refunded in full.

At no cost
