The top floor of the world’s most popular Japanese department store now has its cafe.
Japanese fashion retailer Uniqlo, for the first time in its history, will open its coffee shop.
The cafe will receive customers on the top floor of the 12-story flagship department store in the Ginza area of Tokyo. The store is traditionally one of the most visited by both locals and international tourists.
Japan Today reports that the Uniqlo Ginza flagship store is ready to welcome customers after a complete renovation that has made the retail space even more exciting. The top floor of the complex now houses Uniqlo Coffee, the first establishment of its kind in the company’s history. The coffee house offers its customers the new Uniqlo Original Blend Coffee, both hot and cold, at a reasonable price of 200 yen, the equivalent of about 140 rubles. More expensive drinks are also on the menu, as are the famous butter cookies from the nearby Ginza West pastry shop.
Cooperation with the confectionery is not the only experience for the renovated Uniqlo; the store also offers products from the stationery store Itoya, Kyukyodo fragrances, handmade accessories Takumi, and even Kabukiza t-shirts from the Kabuki theater.
Among the new features Uniqlo Ginza offers to its customers is a costume salon with a tailored fitting service, a technological photo booth, and a fresh flower store.
Retailer is set to expand its presence in the United States by opening stores in Texas and California.
To celebrate the launch, the brand introduced the series with exclusive limited-time offers.
