The mall has opened with its new look in the “Kawaguchi Green Park” concept.

The AEON MALL is opening in Kawaguchi, Saitama Prefecture, in Japan after a major renovation. The mall is scheduled to open on May 28, 2021, officially.
AEON MALL opened in 1984 and has remained one of the most popular malls in the prefecture for many years, changing according to customer demand. In August 2018, amid the digitalization of retail and a shift in current shopping and entertainment formats, the mall was closed for a complete renovation.
In its new look, the mall opens with the “Kawaguchi Green Park” concept as a versatile meeting place, with high-quality and diverse services and the introduction of digital services. AEON MALL Kawaguchi boasts the most significant gastronomic space in the prefecture, including Japanese, Chinese, and Western restaurants and a fresh market with a grocery area, writes Retail in Asia.
The renovated mall’s shopping gallery will feature about 150 stores with international and local clothing brands, footwear and accessories, consumer electronics, household and sports goods, and more. Besides cinemas, new generation attractions and quality services in one-stop format will be opened under the mall’s roof. AEON STYLE KAWAGUCHI will be positioned as the first “smart store” to introduce entirely new digital tools for creating an unprecedentedly fast and convenient shopping environment.
