Over 90% of the 580,000 sq ft scheme is pre-let or agreed with less than two months to go until the grand opening.
Scheduled to open in September 2017, The Lexicon Bracknell is one of the largest urban rebuilding schemes currently being built in the UK. Together with the existing Princess Square shopping centre located nearby, the enlarged town centre will accommodate one million sq ft of retail, dining and leisure location.
Modern lifestyle brand Superdry starts a string of new lettings, getting a 7,875 sq ft store. It will be joined by homeware and gifts retailer Tiger, with 2,390 sq ft of space, and coffee, tea and cocktail store, Coffee Barker in a 4,000 sq ft block. Superdry and Coffee Barker are on The Avenue, the eye-catching pedestrianised boulevard that will link the Fenwick and Marks & Spencer anchor stores.
The Lexicon Bracknell has attracted top retail names such as Next, H&M, River Island, Topshop, Fat Face, Pandora, Marks & Spencer and Primark. This line-up covers the first, new build, full line Fenwick to be opened in 11 years as one of the anchor shops in an 80,000 sq ft unit over three floors.
The town centre’s lunchtime and evening offering will be reconstructed with the opening of a 12 screen Cineworld, featuring the only 4DX screen in the Thames Valley, and ten casual dining eateries. As well as a close-by main line railway terminal and a recently redeveloped bus station, some 3,800 spaces are accessible in new or renovated car parks in the town centre.
Some £768 million is being invested in the reconstruction of Bracknell Forest borough, including the city centre and across a wider area. Bracknell is the first post-war New Town to be comprehensively master planned, demolished, reconfigured and rebuilt.
The retailer has agreed to sell its local assets to the South Korean Cowell Fashion Company.
