New park to feature Nintendo, How to Train Your Dragon, and Harry Potter worlds.
Universal Orlando has officially announced the opening date for its much-anticipated theme park, Epic Universe, set for May 22, 2025. Described as Universal’s most ambitious project, the park will span 750 acres and introduce five immersive worlds, each inspired by popular franchises like Nintendo, Harry Potter, and How to Train Your Dragon.
Themed worlds and classic monsters
Epic Universe will also feature a unique Dark Universe world, themed around Universal's iconic monster movies, including Frankenstein, Dracula, and the Wolf Man. The new addition solidifies Universal's commitment to expanding its brand with experiences that cater to a wide range of audiences, from video game enthusiasts to fans of classic horror films.
Exclusive hotel and ticket packages
Guests visiting the park can stay at the new Universal Helios Grand Hotel, offering direct access to Epic Universe. Although the park won't open for another year, ticket packages will be available starting October 22, 2024. These packages offer three to five-day passes, though only one day will allow access to Epic Universe. Annual passholders get early access to single-day tickets starting October 24.
