The cafe, decorated in the legendary American jewelry brand packages' brand blue style, will start working in December.
Tiffany plans to open the Blue Box Cafe doors in Costa Mesa, California, by the end of 2020, presumably in December. The facility will become the central part of the brand's jewelry boutique, located in the South Coast Plaza shopping center. This Tiffany store is the second largest after New York's flagship store. It will be open to the public after a major renovation in November.
The cafe will be decorated in the jewelry brand's boutiques' best traditions, actively using luxurious interior elements and blue color. The menu will be mostly composed of classic American dishes using local ingredients.
It is reported that the cafe will comply with local restrictions related to coronavirus. In particular, there is a requirement to fill the establishments that operate indoors only by 25% at this stage. However, already in the spring of 2021, Tiffany plans to enter into a full-fledged service mode for visitors.
The company is not the first time experimenting with the cafe's format. The idea of "breakfast at Tiffany's," popularized by Truman Capote novel and the film of the same name, attracts many interested visitors. Thus, in 2017, Tiffany on Fifth Avenue has opened the first Blue Box Cafe, which, however, suspended its work in early 2020. Nevertheless, the waiting list in the institution was about 30 days. The company also opened a temporary pop-up store on Rodeo Drive in 2019, which was also a huge success.
