The mall has opened 55 new stores and achieved an occupancy rate of 97 percent since the beginning of the year.
Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi is expanding its food & beverage offerings by more than 50 percent and attracting new international brands. As part of its renovation program, the mall has welcomed 55 new stores this year and has reached an occupancy rate of 97 percent. Renovations began in March 2021 and should be completed by the summer of 2022.
A major part of the tenant renovation program will be catering and entertainment, as well as the opening of new household goods stores (in a separate cluster), as well as the expansion of tenants in the fashion, health, beauty and jewelry segments, inviting new global brands.
Among the new stores in the mall are a two-level Zara flagship, a renovated Adidas store, Sephora, Forever 21 and Zara Home. Kronful, Sticky Rice, La Serre, Shiroi Izakaya, Montauk and Joud Café will open in the restaurant segment. In addition, there will be a UAE-developed trampoline park for the whole family on the premises.
We continue to be pioneering retailers by offering exclusive experiences and world-class retail and entertainment formats, while contributing to the local economy," said Saud Khoury, director of retail at Aldar Investment.
As part of the Yas Mall's retail concept, small and medium-sized businesses and local brands will occupy 25,000 square meters.
