The North Face will increase the size of its flagship store in London by a third. VF Corp, which owns the brand, has announced that it has signed a new ten-year lease. This will increase The North Face's total store space, located at Walmar House on Regent Street, to 10,000 square feet on the ground and basement floors.

The North Face has been leasing the space since 2015 and the decision to expand the space is due to the brand's successful financial performance in the past quarter.

"We're excited to confirm that we will be expanding our presence at our flagship Regent Street store, due to the increased trading we've witnessed here for some time," The North Face / VF Group EMEA real estate manager Ignacio Abadias said.

"It's a testament to the enduring success story of London's Regent's Street, as it will become our biggest store in EMEA and second globally. It's been a great partnership working with GPE to establish The North Face prime retail position on the high street."

Earlier, sportswear and footwear manufacturer Under Armour opened its revamped Oxford Street store as part of its strategy to expand into European markets. The opening follows the launch of stores at Westfield Stratford, Battersea Power Station and Liverpool ONE.
