This store’s area could house at least several book stores such as London store Word on the Water, as well as Dutch Selexyz Dominicanen located in the church building, Belgian Cook & Book that combines a book store and a restaurant, and amazing Kid’s Republic in Beijing. But our preference went to the Livraria Lello & Irmão store located in Portu. The interior looks more like medieval decor: wooden panels, shelves and carved spiral stairs. There is also a tram line, on which the books are carried around.
The most eco-friendly store
The Aesop signature stores are often described as not as only health and beauty stores, but as masterpieces of art. None of the network’s stores have similar interior design, every each of them is based on a unique designer concept. The Aesop salon in Singapore was built primarily from organic material, wood and coir.
The most “delicious” interior
Salon du Fromage Hisada, Paris, France
Salon du fromage Hisada is a specialized cheese boutique with an option to taste test and a cafe on the second floor. The specifically designed lamps in the shape of cheese pieces, the cheese holes, dividing the store area and the soft yellow illumination, filling up the space. Everything complements each other, making it so inviting. It has already turned into one of one of small Paris landmark, which you will be urged to visit by the local food guides.

As the project executive used to say, “The client asked me to create an interior that no one would be able to copy. I had no other requests. I tried to grasp this thought and develop it even further.
Since there were no other requests, I asked my client more specific questions regarding boutique’s concept and how the retailed clothing relates to the surroundings.
As a result, we got a smooth web spreading across entire area of the boutique.
Clothes are our second skin, environment is a third one. And design lies somewhere in between clothes and environment.” What to say, like brief, like result.
The most functional wow-effect

To draw customers’ attention to clothes, designers painted floor, walls and ceiling white. But the most important aspect of it is 250 meters of pipe, painted bright red. The pipe serves as a design element and the means of zoning. It is supported with the help of transparent hardware that makes it look like it soars over the floor.
The most creative coffee shop
Starbucks, Dazaifu, Japan
Two thousand planks forming the total length of 4 kilometers were used to embody architect’s idea. The wooden construction imitates waves and spreads across behind the transparent glass of the coffee shop’s front. The shape of the indoor space resembles a long basket, the back wall of which is fully covered with glass, opening the view to the green garden.
The most impressive shopping mall design
Hanjie Wanda Square, Wuhan, China
The fusion of traditional and modern design is the main feature of the building. The interior is formed with south and north atriums. The decor of the north atrium is dominated by golden and bronze tones. The south atrium, symbolizing modern times, uses grey and silver colors. 42,333 balls were used to cover the entire building. The metallic balls differ from each other with the degree of embedment in the surface of the frontispiece that helped architects achieve this watered play of colors occurring on the building.
The most futuristic shopping mall
Emporio, Malmö, Sweden
The fundamental idea of this complex is to create a real mini-city with all necessary infrastructure. The exterior of the complex is covered with colored glass, which is also beautifully illuminated from inside at night. The interior design is performed in semitransparent bright tones – emerald-green, ultramarine, purple, azure and lemon-yellow. The colorful glass is used in different combinations. The use of contrast colors is a very wise idea – it makes it easier for people to get around, being sort of direction signs for them.

The client wished to make interior warm, calm and cosy. As a result, a store with walls in the form of meshes that resemble bee combs. The basic building material is lightwood. Every comb can have a practical use, like shelves of different shapes and sizes.

IPER, Milan, Italy
The Italians can cook delicious food – this is the fact. But also, the can serve “deliciously”. The Italian network IPER knows how to combine affordable prices and inspiring presentations. IPER bets on key areas – meat, deli, fish, culinary art and ready meals, so one can eat something palatable right at the hypermarket.
The most sporting store
Schuster, Munich, Germany
Everything has been thought through here. For example, one can experience the grip of new sneakers on the special hill with different types of stone surfaces. The 25-meter climbing wall adds dynamic to the area and also impresses customers, allowing them to overview all the stories form the entrance. The store also serves public needs: the Bavarian club of alpine skiers, providing useful information and maps, is located on the second floor.
The Most Chocolate Store
Ritter Sport, Berlin, Germany
To cheer the brand’s fans, the company created a brand boutique with educational function. One can watch how chocolate is made and get a candy bar of his or her dreams made of favorite ingredients. The three-story store harbors a small cafe and a place for workshops for little chocolatier. There is no way to leave without buying something.
The Most Hunting Store
Frankonia, Giessen, Germany
From the moment of its foundation in 1908, Frankonia has become a leader of hunting and shooting sports in Germany. The network numbers 24 stores and offers weapons, accessories and shoes for hunters. The shooting range where one can learn how to shoot and try out different types of weapons is the main feature of the store. The interior is made of organic materials and painted natural colors. The theatrical light, beautiful pictures of natural landscapes make the store very cosy, inviting you to make a purchase.
