Target is opening a giant store in SoHo

The 27,000-square-foot retail space will be located at 600 Broadway by East Houston Street.

American big box department store chain Target is preparing to open a giant store in SoHo. The 27,000-square-foot retail space will be located at 600 Broadway by East Houston Street. It will officially open on August 11, 2022. 

The 95th retail chain store in New York City, Target's new hypermarket will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. The assortment will include groceries, in-house cooking, cosmetics and care products, furniture and other home goods. The store will provide pickup and delivery service via Shipt!



"We're excited to bring the joy of Target to new guests and help them discover a unique shopping experience tailored to the needs of the SoHo community," commented Manhattan store manager Evan Praster. 

According to the manager, the new hypermarket will feature a wide range of Target's top own and national brands - both groceries and necessities. Contactless checkout will be provided through Order Pickup, and delivery will be available throughout the day. 



Earlier this summer, Target announced the opening of a "small format" store right in the middle of Times Square, between 7th and 8th Avenues. And in 2023, the grocery giant, which has been operating in New York City since 1997, will delight residents with the opening of another store in Astoria.
