The modern renovation, 18 months in the making now occupies 115,569 square meters.
The cost of the project, according to project manager Unibail-Rodamco is 150 million euros. Situated in Bochum, the park will be home to 157 outlets.
The design language adopted for the renovation is open-air stud with white canopies, borrowing architectural and design cues from the Japanese origami.
New retail entrants to the park include internationally renowned Toys “R” Us and Zara with 2,100 square meters and 2,000 square meters outlets respectively. Other major brands include Maisons du Monde, Superdry, Forever 21, Mango, and Footlocker.
Ruhr Park boasts of an enlivening Activity Park for recreational activities. When guests are not having fun or engaging in leisure activities, they can choose to indulge the delectable cuisines and amazing beverages in the 1,000-square-meter food and beverage section. The section has a lovely outdoor terrace and acclaimed restaurant brand L’Osteria positioned very closely to the Activity Park.
With a 4-star ranking, Bochum’s Ruhr Park is Germany’s third shopping center to be conferred with this esteemed ranking, catapulting the park to lofty heights in Europe’s largest economy.
