The Florida Mall announced plans to introduce 27 new stores and restaurants this summer as part of its recently relocated and expanded Dining Pavilion.
The 105,000-square-foot, multi-million project — a redevelopment of the former store Saks Fifth Avenue — is set to show five new restaurant concepts to market, six new stores and several eateries resettled from the former food court. The mall started the project last year to meet the high demand for space from interested tenants and a better flow, according to Orlando Business Journal.
“The addition of unique restaurant concepts, new retailers and enhanced amenities within the new Dining Pavilion will provide our shoppers with more choices when they visit The Florida Mall,” told Brian Hanson, mall general manager. “We look forward to introducing the sleek, reimagined space to our community and visitors, offering a fresh new customer experience that is well-suited to our market.”
The former food court and adjacent mall concourse will be renovated and redeveloped beginning this summer to add more space as well as a new entrance, upgraded flooring, a customer seating lounge and new LED lighting.
