Construction for a new retail mall has commenced in the parking lot of the Meijer store, located at Gratiot Avenue and 23 Mile Road, in Chesterfield Township.
The center will be located between Chesterfield Road and Gratiot Avenue, close to Interstate 94 and will offer space for eight new businesses to move into this community.
The development is set to house eight different types of businesses, of which two will more than likely be restaurants.
The one confirmation that has been received is space for Noodles & Company, which sells sandwiches, noodle dishes, soups and salads, based on international cuisines. The other businesses have not yet been confirmed. The business has already submitted their signed application and has listed the news of a new store on their website.
According to township officials, the developer has stated that there will be eight stores, with two restaurants placed on each end.
