McDonald's Goes Huge in Times Square

McDonald’s has opened a new flagship located on Times Square in New York - one of the busiest places in the United States.

The restaurant was previously the most visited of all belonging to the network. Now we can expect that the number of visitors will increase even more.

The new restaurant has an area of ​11,199 sq. ft (approximately 1040 sq. m.) and boasts three levels of glass walls from floor to ceiling. Some places of the room offer a beautiful view from above on the very heart of Times Square. The first thing that catches the eye when approaching the building is a massive billboard with an area of ​​9,280 sq. ft (approximately 680 sq. m.). However, this is not a record, but only the third largest of all shields installed in Times Square.

Inside visitors are waiting for a room for 173 seats, the interior of which is decorated in the latest trends. It incorporates many of the technical improvements that the company has implemented over the past few years. These are boards with a digital menu, self-service kiosks (18 in total), mobile terminals, elevators to lift food to the second floor, as well as built-in wireless charging tables for mobile devices. At the same time, the stop is minimalist; metal and wood were actively used in the design. Landini Associates and Progressive AE, specializing in these areas, were engaged in building design and interior design.

By the way, according to CNBC, McDonald’s plans to spend about $ 1 billion to upgrade 2,000 facilities across the country.
