McDonald's creates the restaurant brand CosMc's

CosMc's is a small format concept with all the DNA of McDonald's but with its own unique personality.

McDonald's has announced that it is working on creating a new restaurant brand CosMc's. The fast food giant's plans to launch the new project became known during the release of its financial statements for the second quarter of 2023.



"CosMc's is a small format concept with all the DNA of McDonald's, but with its own unique personality," McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski said.

The new brand will be tested in sel ect locations in early 2024. More information regarding CosMc's will be released at McDonald's investor day in December.

The name CosMc's refers to the McDonaldland mascot the fast food giant used in the late '80s and early '90s. CosMc's represents an alien fr om outer space who loves McDonald's food.

The company decided to revive the old symbol shortly after Burger King introduced a "Birthday Grimace" dish in June with a bright purple milkshake. The promotion went viral on social media and Burger King was able to increase sales and restaurant traffic.
