French luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has opened its first restaurant in Chengdu.
French luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has opened its first restaurant in China. The Hall is located in the city of Chengdu. The restaurant is the fourth for LV in Asia, following the opening of Le Cafe V at Maison Osaka Midosuji and Ginza in Japan and the pop-up restaurant at Maison Seoul in South Korea.
The haute cuisine restaurant is located next door to the current Louis Vuitton flagship store in the Sino-Ocean Taikoo Li mall.
A Louis Vuitton pop-up store has previously opened in the historic Guangdong Hall building. It is known that the restaurant will work with Michelin-starred guest chefs from around the world. In particular, during the first week after the opening customers will be offered a fusion menu by French chef Olivier Elser.
To celebrate the restaurant's opening, the fashion house also announced the launch of the interactive game "Mach Jump" on the WeChat Mini Program. Earlier this year, a new House of Louis Vuitton space of about 21,500 sq.ft was opened in Chengdu.
Analysts note the timeliness of the French fashion house's activation in the Chinese market - in recent years, Chengdu's growing level of consumer activity has attracted first-rate brands.
