Lego continues strengthening its position in the UK market by opening new retail stores. As part of its new chain strategy, the company has announced the imminent opening of a second store in Manchester.
Lego will open in the Trafford Centre shopping center. The approximately 270 square meter store will feature a wide range of the company's products and Pick a Brick wall and Build Minifigure stations. The company said the store format will include themed events, including free speed-building tournaments for constructors.
It will be the 19th branded store in the Lego chain in the UK. Recently, the Danish brand opened its next store in the famous Battersea Power Station shopping center.
Director of EMEA and regional retail marketing Amy Pearson said: "We've been searching for the perfect location to open a second store in Greater Manchester and are thrilled to have found this within Trafford Centre. "The new Lego store will allow builders of all ages to be inspired by the endless play opportunities Lego has to offer.
"This store will be a top retail destination for product launches and events while acting as a hub for our tenured Lego community and new builders alike, welcoming them to an exciting journey of discovery with the Lego universe."
