The Starhill Luxury Mall opens in Kuala Lumpur after a lengthy renovation.
The Starhill Luxury Mall opens in Kuala Lumpur after a lengthy renovation. Home to many of the world's best-known luxury brands, the mall has been given a new lease of life following a two-year renovation.
The renovated mall has a total area of 300,000 sq. feet. Today 92% of the space has already been leased. Catering outlets account for 30 percent of the space, keeping with the latest market trends.
Located in the prestigious Bukit Bintang district, The Starhill is home to top brands such as Paul & Shark, Philipp Plein, Roberto Coin, Shiatzy Chen, Stefano Ricci, Tom Ford, and others.
The new concept positions the mall as a "House for connoisseurs of taste" where you can shop in a sophisticated environment. The Starhill aims to offer a unique shopping experience like a cozy boutique.
The new retail spaces are connected to the main shopping area into a single seven-story space. Four levels house the stores, and another three are devoted to the hotel. Here is located JW Marriott Kuala Lumpur for 162 hotel rooms. The hotel also connects to the gigantic 1,100-room The Ritz-Carlton Kuala Lumpur.
"Our focus is to offer a holistic experience that goes beyond retail and dining, encapsulated in an intimate space with a sense of familiarity where patrons can escape from the hustle and bustle of the city," said Joseph Yeoh, VP of YTL Land & Development.
The mall's anchor tenant is Eslite Spectrum Kuala Lumpur, one of Asia's largest book retailers, which leases 70,000 sq. feet on the ground floor. The supermarket features books as well as handmade goods and lifestyle brands.
