Ingka opens the first Hej!Workshop concept in San Francisco

Hej!Workshop is a unique and flexible coworking concept inside of Ingka Centres' San Francisco meeting place.

Ingka Centres announced the upcoming opening of a unique and flexible coworking concept inside Ingka Centres' San Francisco meeting place. Hej!Workshop at 945 Market Street will launch in the first quarter of 2024. The project partner is Industrious, the highest-rated flexible workplace company.



Workshop, first launched in 2022 at Ingka Centres in Stockholm, is an innovative workspace model that embodies the Swedish values of accessibility, sustainability and overall well-being.

The workshop offers participants a variety of collaborative working environments and special areas for focused activities. The interior design was developed in collaboration with IKEA for Business.

It will be managed by Industrious, which will integrate it into its global workplace platform. Today, the Industrious platform already has over 160 locations in 65 markets.

Hej!Workshop with Industrious is designed to be an appealing space that centers hospitality and offers a variety of workspaces, allowing individuals to seamlessly transition between collaborative and focused tasks."

The co-working space will occupy 46,470 square feet in a sprawling 250,000-square-foot complex in San Francisco. This complex will also include an IKEA store and other infrastructure. This strategic project is designed to transform downtown into a vibrant and efficient neighborhood that meets the changing needs of today's workforce.

Hej!Workshop, in partnership with Industrious, will be built to meet LEED certification requirements and will be powered by renewable electricity, underscoring the partnership's commitment to sustainability.
