Hansa shopping mall in central Malmö has been sold by the Castellum AB’s wholly-owned subsidiary Fastighets AB Briggen.
Hansa comprises of two properties measuring a total of 40500m², divided into 2800m² for education facilities, 5400m² for residential purposes, 9400m² for garaging, 9200m² for office space and 13700m² for retail facilities.The facilities were sold for SEK609m (€66m) after a reduction for assessed deferred tax and transaction fees amounting to SEK27m (€2.9m), based on the latest valuation. The change of ownership is due to occur on October 17, 2014.
Hansa was one of the few bigger shopping centers in the Castellum portfolio and this sale indicates the refinement of their existing portfolio. According to Castellum the Öresund Region and Malmö will continue to be an important region for business development.
