Ottawa’s top shopping center is set to offer quality urban dining.
The Cadillac Fairview Corporation Ltd. Has announced the impending the opening of a new dining facility at the Rideau Centre in Ottawa. This is a huge step in its $360m redevelopment project.
The Dining Hall is a 35000ft² area on the second level of Nordstrom Court. It combines a modern, contemporary feel with top quality finishes, with a blend of seating styles and areas, including banquettes, bars, open kitchen areas that will have diners salivating. The Dining Hall offers seating for 850 diners who can gain direct access to the 16 eateries from Nicholas Street.
The cuisines are varied and will include Asian, Mediterranean and Indian, along with local tastes. In a bid to reflect its sustainability program, shoppers will be offered metal cutlery, glassware and authentic dishes. This opening places focus on the expansion and revival of the Rideau Center, which is to continue through to 2016. Some of the retailers to be included in the center are J. Crew, Nordstrom and Simons.
Rideau Center is one of the top performance centers in Canada and can be found a block east of Parliament Hill in the downtown section. It is managed and owned by The Cadillac Fairview Corporation Ltd which is one of the largest developers, owners and managers of commercial real estate.
