Ada Mall will be the first shopping mall of the newest generation in Belgrade, Serbia.
Malls.Com talked with Jelena Vučković, Leasing Manager of Ada Mall in GTC, about be the difference of the project from a classical shopping mall.Jelena told us that Ada Mall would not be an ordinary shopping center - big box without windows. It will cover an area of over 34000m2 with an address in Radnička street. New retail destination will be a genuine green oasis, following the environment, especially with Ada Lake. The shape of the mall is derived from the form of the lake, it follows the configuration of the area and will have a lot of verdure.
We asked Jelena Vučković about tenant mix of the future shopping center, and she noted that Ada Mall will offer brands that have not been seen in Serbia yet, while those names already present in Serbia, will be introduced in a new way. It will have five floors along with three levels of underground parking with about 1000 parking bays connected to one unit. Boutiques will be located on the first three stories, while other two will feature bars, restaurants and additional multi-purpose facilities. The mall will include so-called “artisans” stands, like Mercato Centrale in Firenca, Mercado San Miguel in Madrid or Eataly (NY, Milano…), as well as few “fine dining” restaurants. Ada Mall will also have the most significant green area comparing to other shopping centers in Serbia.
After that, Malls.Com discussed the facility, which follows the procedures so-called Green construction. Jelena said: “Ada Mall is designed according to LEED Gold / Platinium standards and will be implemented under it. We will also use the latest materials and equipment that comply with all domestic and global standards. We hope that our visitors will recognize this and see the difference when we open Ada Mall”.
Recently, design studio, which specialists are responsible for Ada Mall design, won two awards for Retail Architecture at the European Property Awards celebration in London. The awards are judged by an independent panel of 70 industry experts, evaluating the design, quality, service, innovation, creativity, and commitment to sustainability for each submission.
All the work on the construction started in March, after the demolition and remediation of the terrain. To comply with the deadline, first customers in Ada Mall, an investment worth over 100 million euros, could be expected in Q4 of 2018.
