Deirdre O'Brien, Apple's vice president of Retail and Human Resources, said May would be the month when "many more" Apple Stores are due to open.
According to the publishing house Bloomberg, this was said during a weekly video message to employees. "We continue to analyze the situation in each location, and I hope that in May we will open many more stores," said the vice president. However, when the stores start operating again, Apple will consider all local conditions and recommendations.
Earlier in April, O'Brien said the company was considering opening stores in different countries by the end of April. But in the end, only one Apple Store in South Korea earned, and that one in limited mode. Also, all the stores of the company, located in mainland China, were opened. In all other countries, the Apple Store has been closed since March 14. The only way to purchase the company's equipment is to order it online.
There have also been rumors recently online that you shouldn't wait until mid-June to open Apple stores in the US. However, some states have already begun to relax quarantine and allow companies to resume operations, while other states have, on the contrary, extended the ban. For example, in Texas, Georgia, and Tennessee have decided to lift the quarantine, but California is still considering it.
