The masks to protect against coronavirus are called Face Covers and are made from recycled materials.
Because of the Coronavirus pandemic in many countries, people are obliged to wear masks in public places, while in others the requirements are less strict, but some people still prefer to protect themselves and others in this way. The German sportswear manufacturer also decided to respond to the growing demand for masks. The company Adidas introduced the Face Cover masks, which can be used repeatedly to cover the face of the wearer.
Masks are not suitable for medical use but are designed to prevent the spread of viruses and germs, and thus protect others against infection. The masks were manufactured using Primegreen, a recycled plastic-free fabric created by the company. The company claims that it is a breathable material that also has elasticity. It is also believed to be more comfortable to wear.
Face Cover has a simple design and is attached to the ears thanks to two hinges. To emphasize the possibility of reuse, on the inside of the masks are printed the words "Wash. Dry, Reuse".
These masks are available in Europe, North America, and China and are available at the brand's online store for $16 per package of three. Part of the proceeds from the sale will be donated to Save The Children's Global Coronavirus Response Fund.
